Econ 0016

This is the 2023-2024 page of the Economics BSc course:

“International Macroeconomics” @ UCL

About the course

  • The course will strictly follow  the following textbook “International Macroeconomics: a Modern Approach” by Stéphanie Schmidt-Grohé, Martin Uribe and Michael Woodford.
  • The textbook can be accessed via the UCL library (with a UCL account) here:
  • My plan is to teach chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. I may have to adjust if we are going slower or faster than what I expect.
  • I suggest that you come to the lecture, listen, and then work on the book (read it and do the exercises). But you may also want to read the chapter in advance if you prefer.
  • In the tutorial sessions, we will do some of the exercises proposed in the book. You can work the others by yourself.
  • No written solution will be provided for the exercises, but some will be solved in the tutorial sessions.
